1985 entdeckt der erfolgreiche Produzent Mike Mareen in einer Hamburger Disco den Italienischen DJ und Sänger Silvano. Mit ihm und zwei weiteren DJs entsteht über Nacht das Projekt "DJs Project". Der Titel " How are you " wird 1985 veröffentlicht und steigt von 0 auf Platz 36 in die Charts ein. Nach diesem großen Erfolg startet Mike Mareen sofort eine PR-Tour durch ganz Deutschland. Der Titel wird erstmals in voller Länge von 7 Minuten im Rundfunk gesendet. Es folgen diverse Auftritte und Interviews, unter anderem bei Manfred Sexauer. Somit reiht sich Leadsänger Silvano erfolgreich in die Liga der Topstars wie Sabrina, Modern Talking usw. ein. "How are you " wird in über 20 Ländern weltweit gespielt. Es folgt "Birthday Girl" als zweite Produktion im Jahr 1986.
Aufgrund des anhaltenden Erfolges tourt DJs Project im Anschluss eine deutschlandweite Tour. Silvano überzeugt seine Fans live auf der Bühne und wird begeistert gefeiert. 1987 erscheint "Vision of Love". Dieser Titel plaziert sich auf Anhieb in den Top 10 der Charts und behauptet sich bis heute als Dancefloor-Hit. Silvano Pulignano, geboren am 8. November in dem kleinen Ort Massafra in Italien,
feiert des Weiteren auch unter dem Pseudonym Andrea di Lazzaro einen sehr großen Erfolg.

Daher 2008 nun nach knapp 23 Jahren das Comeback von DJs Project. Bernd Schöler, ein Gründungsmitglied von DJs Project, und PE:sch, auch von Beginn an als Songschreiber mit dabei, produzieren die Songs "Vision of Love" und "Only for Love".
